Ben Gibbard

watch Ben Gibbard cover Frightened Rabbit on his acoustic livestream

Ben Gibbard continued his daily livestreamed solo acoustic performances tonight, and tonight’s cover was an especially powerful one: Frightened Rabbit‘s “Keep Yourself Warm” (which he also recorded for last year’s Frightened Rabbit tribute LP in honor of the late Scott Hutchison). Ben did the song from the piano, and he sounded excellent.

His set also included his new song “Life In Quarantine,” three Death Cab For Cutie songs (all from The Photo Album: “Coney Island,” “Steadier Footing,” and “Why You’d Want to Live Here”), one of his Jay Farrar collabs, a couple solo songs, and a set-closing rendition of The Postal Service‘s “Brand New Colony.”

Watch the full set and see the setlist below. The Frightened Rabbit cover starts around the 26:46 mark.
