watch Buffalo alt-rap trio 14 trapdoors’ new “The Rain” video

Buffalo rap trio 14 trapdoors (aka Short Moscato, Bendyface and Wza) have been leaving their mark on their local scene for over a year now, and are fresh off releasing the Door 1 EP this past January. They call their sound "New Trap Boom Bap" and explain, "People who gravitate toward the golden age of ‘90s boom bap will fuck with it because we focus on lyricism and new age youngins will fuck with it because we have songs with a more ‘trappy’ vibe." They also strongly recall classic Def Jux stuff like El-P and Aesop Rock (both of whom they cite as influences), and fans of that stuff should definitely check these guys out. We're premiering the new video for "The Rain" (directed by Spike Spielberg & GaijinIsntPhysical), and you can check that out and stream the whole Door 1 EP below.

The group have one upcoming hometown show happening on April 16 at Expo, which is an afterparty for the Action Bronson / Meyhem Lauren show happening at Town Ballroom that night.
