Emily Jane White will release her new album They Moved in Shadow All Together on July 8 via Talitres Records (pushed back from June 10). We already posted the first single “Frozen Garden,” and we’re now premiering the video for the second single, “Pallid Eyes.” Like the first song, “Pallid Eyes” is haunting, dreamlike folk that should appeal to the dark music fans among us.

Emily tells us the song “depicts a body, estranged from relational dysfunction, which dwells in patterns of isolation and dissociation. Greys and whites, opaque and frozen, express the heavy and numbing debility of this state.” The video, directed by Dan Jenkins, is mostly black-and-white footage with Emily set against various gloomy backdrops that fit perfectly with the song’s vibe.
