Jeff Tweedy was in NYC on Friday to play Lincoln Center Out of Doors Festival but earlier in the day, he and his Wilco bandmate Nels Cline stopped by AOL's BUILD Series to perform two songs from Wilco's upcoming album Ode to Joy ("White Wooden Cross" and "Empty Corner") and to talk about the new album, hiking with Nick Offerman and more. You can watch that below.

Wilco debuted both of those songs at their own Solid Sound fest earlier in the summer. Jeff plays Newport Folk Festival this weekend and he'll be back with Wilco in the fall.

Nels, meanwhile, has a few upcoming shows. He'll play the “Alternative Guitar Summit 2019: The Music of Woodstock 50 Years After” which happens at Brooklyn Bowl on August 22 (tickets). Nels will play Santana, and the night also includes Marc Ribot (playing Jimi Hendrix and Canned Heat), Vernon Reid (Janis Joplin & Sly Stone), Brandon Seabrook (The Who and 10 Years After) and Joel Harrison (Richie Havens and The Grateful Dead). Nels also plays “The Stone at Happy Lucky #1″ on July 26 & 27, and plays a Nels Cline 4 quartet show (with Julian Lage, Jorge Roeder and Tom Rainey) at NYC’a Le Poisson Rouge on August 20.
