Kevin Morby & Waxahatchee's Katie Crutchfield haven been doing a weekly livestream during our collective coronavirus isolation via their Instagram accounts. They've covered both John Prine and Silver Jews before on them, but Thursday night they offered up more of each. For Prine, who we lost to coronavirus this week, in addition to "Angel from Montgomery,"  they do a lovely version of "God Only Knows" from his 2018 album The Tree of Forgiveness; for Silver Jews, they did "We Could be Looking for the Same Thing" (from 2008's Lookout Mountain, Lookout Sea) and later one of Katie's favorites, "Sleeping is the Only Love" from 2005's Tanglewood Numbers. They also covered Lucinda Williams' "Abandoned" from her 1988 self-titled album (Katie was wearing a Lucinda t-shirt last night, too), a bit of Jawbreaker's "Boxcar," and Dottie West's "A Lesson in Leavin'," plus took a call from comedian Kate Berlant and lots more.

You can watch an archive of the whole livestream via Katie's instagram, and  watch videos of "God Only Knows," "Sleeping is the Only Love" and "Abandoned," as well as Katie playing "Witches" from Waxahatchee's recently-released Saint Cloud, below.

In other news, Kevin has new limited edition t-shirts for sale, designed by Argentinian artist Sofia Tormenta where proceeds through April will go to different COVID-19 relief charities. The first is a Harlem River shirt with proceeds going to Direct Relief and an Oh My God shirt with proceeds going to the MusiCares Covid Relief Fund. The third design hasn't been revealed yet.
