Nardwuar, who recently recovered after having a stroke, has done an interview with one of the year’s most exciting new artists, Anderson .Paak. They discuss the soul/funk/rap singer’s punk roots, with Nardwuar beginning the interview by giving Anderson a copy of Black Flag‘s Nervous Breakdown 7″, and later they discuss the local scene in Oxnard (where Anderson’s from). “It kind of reminded me of church,” he said of his first punk show. They also talk Anderson’s hometown heroes Madlib and Oh No, working with Dr. Dre, and more. Anderson also gives Nardwuar a gift, a Cramps record. Watch it below.
