neil young fireside sessions barnyard edition

watch Neil Young play to an audience of chickens in new Barnyard session

Neil Young has shared his fifth Fireside Session, this time mixing things up. There’s no fire at all or the usual locales, with this special “Banyard Edition” that features some of his and Daryl Hannah’s animals, like Laslo the llama. Neil breaks out the ukulele for “Tumbleweed,” plays “Homegrown,” “Harvest,” “Old Man” and “Everybody Knows This is Nowhere” for an audience of chickens, and finally props himself up in the barn’s doorway for “War of Man.”

You can watch over at the Neil Young Archives.

Speaking of “Homegrown,” that’s the title track to Neil’s “lost” ’70s album that’s finally getting an official release on June 19. He recently released “Try” from that album:

For more Neil, official video was recently released of him performing at the 2005 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony with The Pretenders, we recently posted video of a full solo performance from 1971, and he recently put out a quarantine video with Crazy Horse.
