We all have pretty close relationships with our phones these days. Most people sleep with them (though apparently that’s bad). Maybe we’re too close. That’s the premise for the funny new music video for Peaking Lights‘ new single, “Breakdown,” which you can watch in this post. Director Eugene Kotlyarenko (who’s made videos for Slava, Julia Holter, Shine 2009 and more) takes that relationship and anthropomorphizes it just a little. Can our heroine learn to disconnect and find love with a real person? (Also: be on the lookout for Mr. Show cohort John Ennis as “the boss.”) Check it out below.

Peaking Lights’ new album, Cosmic Logic, is out via Weird World on October 7.
