watch Phil Anselmo play Pantera songs with Max Cavalera & Satyr in Europe

Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals have been playing full sets of Pantera on their current European tour, and occasionally inviting a special guest out to help sing. This happened at two different fests over the weekend.

At Dynamo Metalfest in Eindhoven, Netherlands, Phil brought out his old friend Max Cavalera (Sepultura, Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy) to join them for 1993 classic “Walk.” At Gefle Metal fest in Sweden, his old friend Satyr of Satyricon joined them for “I’m Broken.”

Watch video of both appearances, the loud crowds, “This Love” in the pouring rain, and more, along with The Illegals’ full Metalfest setlist below.

Soulfly — along with Tribulation, Carcass, Metal Church and more — also played the two-day Dynamo fest. Satyricon — along with Dimmu Borgir, Ministry, Primordial, Entombed A.D., and many more — also played Gefle.

Phil will continue “performing a vulgar display of Pantera” when he and The Illegals open for Slayer on the “final leg” of Slayer’s farewell tour.
