Better Oblivion Community Center -- with special guest Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs on guitar -- took on the Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga hit from "A Star is Born," in NYC at Brooklyn Steel on April Fool’s Day. They introduced the encore-starting song as a new one they'd been workshopping, though Conor also said something like, "I can't believe I'm doing this. I must really like Phoebe." She meanwhile never let on, and the crowd went nuts when Conor started singing, revealing what they were really playing. Phoebe belting out Lady Gaga's parts was jawdropping. Listen and watch the whole thing, above.

For Nick Zinner, it was one of about six songs he played with BOCC at their third of three NYC shows. Sloppy Jane members also made appearances on stage. One photo below, but check out our full gallery and longer recap from Friday's Bowery Ballroom show (they also played Music Hall of Williamsburg while in town).
