watch Roger Waters perform Pink Floyd's “Two Suns in the Sunset” in quarantine

“I had an idea to make an album of all the songs we did as encores on the US and Them tour,” writes Roger Waters of this quarantine version of Pink Floyd’s The Final Cut track. “We did ‘Mother‘ first. Had to do it remotely because of Covid 19. ‘Two Suns in The Sunset’ is #2. Hope you like it. I love it.” The lockdown version of “Two Suns in the Sunset” features Lucius, Joey Waronker, Dave Kilminster, Gus Seyffert, Jonathan Wilson, Jon Carin, Bo Koster and Ian Ritchie. “What a beautiful band they are,” says Roger. Watch that below.

As a postscript, Roger writes “That we allow Nuclear Weapons to exist in a world controlled by deranged sociopaths is, in itself, a deranged arrangement. We are many they are few. We could just say no, to the whole MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) insanity. It makes zero sense and is potentially omnicidal.” Before the song starts, we hear the tapping of laptop keys and then words on the screen: “We’re at 100 seconds to midnight on the Doomsday Clock. This is the closest the Human Race has ever been to nuclear catastrophe.”

While Roger’s “This is Not a Drill” tour has been postponed till 2021, you can rent the concert film of his Us + Them tour now.
