Back in May, Mike Watt, Cherie Currie (Runaways), Steve McDonald (Redd Kross), Eddie Spaghetti (The Supersuckers), Norwood Fisher (Fishbone), Josie Cotton, Tony Reflex (Adolescents), Ben Weasel (Screeching Weasel) and about two dozen other musicians came together for “Flatten the Curve,” a benefit single to raise money for the Jubilee Consortium and the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. They’ve now made a video for “Flatten the Curve” which premieres in this post.

The video was directed by Frank Meyer (Streetwalkin’ Cheetahs), who also wrote and produced “Flatten the Curve,” and features the artists who perform on the song appearing, appropriately given its subject, in isolation inside or near their homes. “This video is like a bizarre Rock n’ Roll alternate reality,” Frank tells us. “Nowhere else would you see members of The Minutemen and the Adolescents rockin’ next to members KIX and JetBoy. Where else would you see the singer of the Runaways and Josie Cotton alongside members of Fishbone, Screeching Weasel and the Supersuckers! It’s like my whole record collection made a record together and then a video. Actually I guess they did!”

Adds Steve McDonald of Redd Kross, “I’d also like to thank my son for letting me rock out in his bedroom and my wife for filming the hi jinx.” Watch the video below.
