Hulu's Pen15 was one of the best new shows of 2019 and they've just announced that Season 2 will debut September 18. If you haven't watched, the show was created by and stars Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle, both in their early 30s, who star as 7th grade versions of themselves in 2000, with the rest of the school's cast played by actual kids. A weird conceit, but you get used to it quick and it allows Pen15 to deal with all sorts of awkward subjects you couldn't with depict with actual 12-13-year-olds as leads. Hilarious and frequently unexpurgated, the series also managed to pull off some big emotional moments with finesse. It also uses Bikini Kill's "Demirep" as its theme song.

Puberty featured in many of the Season 1 storylines and that looks to stay the same in Season 2, as you can see in the teaser trailer they just released. "Do you think I've changed?" Maya asks Anna. Most of this teaser is just flashes of scenes and a fair amount of yelling as opposed to bigger looks at the season's storylines. Watch the teaser trailer below.

You can watch (or rewatch) the first season of PEN15 on Hulu now.
