Much-loved NYC indie record store Other Music closed its gates for good a year ago (June 25, 2016). During the last month it was open, you may have noticed a film crew there a lot, and filmmakers Puloma Basu and Rob Hatch-Miller are currently working on a feature-length documentary about the store. They’ve just launched a Kickstarter for it, which has the documentary’s trailer that features interviews with members of Animal Collective, Vampire Weekend, Interpol, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and more, not to mention Benicio Del Toro, Jason Schwartzman, and more. Watch that over at Kickstarter.

The Kickstarter also offers all sorts of pledge incentives, from t-shirts and totes featuring the Other Music price tag, autographed memorabilia from Belle & Sebastian, Dirty Projectors, Animal Collective, The Breeders, Stephin Merritt’s half-finished NY Times crossword, and more. They’re already $10,000 towards their $70,000 goal.
