Fans of Fantastic Mr Fox will be glad to hear that Wes Anderson is returning to stop-motion animation for his new film, Isle of Dogs, which will be out in March 2018. The Synopsis:

ISLE OF DOGS tells the story of ATARI KOBAYASHI, 12-year-old ward to corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. When, by Executive Decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island, Atari sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of a pack of newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture.

The film features a lot of Anderson’s usual kennel of performers (Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Tilda Swinton) in voice roles, plus new ones too like Bryan Cranston and Yoko Ono. You can watch the trailer, which is soundtracked by West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band’s “I Won’t Hurt You” (which is from one of the best psychedelic albums from the Summer of Love).
