watch Vampire Weekend's very Upper West Side "Sunflower" video w/ Seinfeld & more

You may recall earlier this year, Vampire Weekend were all over NYC’s Upper West Side filming a video for their single “Sunflower” with director Jonah Hill. That’s out now, and while you might have expected a wackier video, what the band and Hill deliver is something much more dreamlike. Hill’s floating, spinning camera tracks frontman Ezra Koenig and The Internet’s Steve Lacy, who plays on the song, at UWS institutions Zabar’s (where they’re manning the smoked fish counter) and Barney Greengrass. Making this even more Upper West Side are guest appearances by Jerry Seinfeld and Fab Five Freddy. Watch the video below.

Vampire Weekend’s new album, Father of the Bride, is out May 3 and the band’s upcoming tour includes a huge NYC show at Madison Square Garden on September 6 with Angelique Kidjo and Despot (tickets).
