Courtney Barnett and Waxahatchee are in the midst of their fall tour, and Courtney's been bringing out Katie Crutchfield on stage during her sets for a cover of Elyse Weinberg's "Houses." That's the song that Courtney released as part of her Spotify session, and you can watch them play it together in San Diego (10/3) below.

At their show at Los Angeles' Greek Theatre on Friday (10/5), Waxahatchee brought out a guest of her own, her sister, Allison Crutchfield (of Swearin' and sometimes of Waxahatchee), for the Great Thunder song "Chapel of Pines" with Katie Harkin who plays in Courtney's band (and makes music on her own too). Video of that is below.

The Greek Theatre show also had Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks on the bill and they brought out Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon (in a Beto O'Rourke shirt) for "Refute," their duet on this year's Jicks LP, Sparkle Hard.

Courtney and Waxahatchee's Greek Theatre setlists are below.

Courtney Barnett plays Brooklyn Steel on 10/22 as part of the 10 Years of Mom + Pop Music with Sleigh Bells and more and we're giving away tickets.

Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks play Brooklyn Steel in January.
