Converge frontman Jacob Bannon is releasing his debut album as Wear Your Wounds, WYW, on April 7 via his own Deathwish label, and a new single called "Goodbye Old Friend" is out now. It's a quiet, bare-bones song that Jacob cites as being influenced by Sparklehorse and Songs: Ohia. Needless to say, it's a big departure from Converge. Jacob recorded the album with Kurt Ballou (Converge), Mike McKenzie (The Red Chord, Stomach Earth, Unraveller), Chris Maggio (Sleigh Bells, Trap Them, Coliseum), and Sean Martin (Hatebreed, Cage, Kid Cudi, Twitching Tongues).

Wear Your Wounds is also touring, including Roadburn, some dates with Chelsea Wolfe, and more. (So far just European dates announced). Jacob's band for the tour is Mike McKenzie, Chris Maggio, Sean Martin, and Adam McGrath (Cave In, Zozobra, Nomad Stones). All dates are listed below.
