Weyes Blood releases first single in 3 years, "Andromeda" (listen)

Back in 2017, Weyes Blood announced that she signed to Sub Pop and would be releasing a new album in 2018. 2018 came and went with no Weyes Blood album, but it looks like 2019 may actually be the year we get a followup to 2016’s great Front Row Seat to Earth. She just released the new single “Andromeda,” and Sub Pop is promising that the new album is due out this spring. The song, co-produced by Weyes Blood and Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado, is a gorgeous dose of Laurel Canyon-esque folk music, with modern-day atmosphere and production embellishments that keep it sounding fresh. It’s already enough to get us excited for the new album. Stay tuned for more.

Weyes Blood has just a few shows coming up at the moment, Pitchfork and the Art Institute of Chicago’s Midwinter in February, and four just-added California shows in April. The California shows go on sale Friday (1/18) at 10 AM Pacific. All dates are listed below.
