The 2019 edition of the WFMU Record Fair happened over the weekend at the Brooklyn Expo Center bringing in thousands of vinyl fans, pouring over crates upon crates of vintage wax (and some new albums too, plus CDs, cassettes, DVDs and even some VHS tapes). The annual fundraiser felt bigger and more crowded this year, with the WFMU DJs and live performances occupying a side room of the Expo Center they've never used before. We stopped by on Saturday (4/27) and caught detroit garage punk legends The Gories who would, along with the day's other performers (Oblivians and Derv Gordon), play Music Hall of Williamsburg that night. (We spotted Ira & Georgia of Yo La Tengo in the crowd for The Gories' set.) Check out pictures from Saturday afternoon at the WFMU Record Fair in the gallery above.
