Wild Flag, Mission of Burma and Ted Leo play a free Celebrate Brooklyn! show in Prospect Park this evening which is pretty hard to pass up. Be on the lookout for the commemorative Wild Flag/MoB split 7″ which will only be sold at this show.

Late night fun: new 4AD signee Blood Diamonds plays a post-midnight show at Glasslands (doors at 11:30 PM) with Le1f and Gobby. Tickets are still available. Maybe you want to head to that after seeing Friends, Splash and Janka Nabay at 285 Kent next door.

This week’s new movie offerings include the lukewarm-reviewed remake of Total Recall and indie dramedy (and maybe not a date movie) Celeste and Jesse Forever which you may have seen at our free preview earlier this week. “The Room” screens at Sunshine at midnight.

Happy birthday to Metallica’s James Hetfield (49) and crooner Tony Bennett (86).

Former Stereolab singer Laetitia Sadier has a new video for “Rule of the Game” from her new album, Silencio, which you can watch below.

Also below is the very cool video for “All That We’ve Become” from enigmatic (and hard to Google) UK artist Society. If you dig Portishead check it out for sure.

And Sabbath Assembly have a creepy new video for their track “In the time of Abaddon II” which you can watch below.

What else?

Society – “All that We’ve Become”
