Browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows. Here are some highlights…

King Krule, RatKing @ Bowery Ballroom
Archie Marshall is an old soul trapped in a minor’s body, a dichotomy made apparent on his debut album, Six Feet Beneath the Moon, which mixes thoughtful songwriting with modern productions touches.

Laura Marling, Steve Gunn @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
British folk singer Laura Marling’s music may be highly indebted to the genre’s early ’70s period, but it’s some of the most genuine material in that style being written today. Tonight she wraps up her two-night run at Music Hall of Williamsburg (sold out), and on Wednesday she’ll play a free show at Brooklyn’s St. Ann’s Church. Show up early tonight to catch Kurt Vile collaborator Steve Gunn.

Zion I, Mike Baker the Bike Maker, CX Kidtronik, J. Period @ Mercury Lounge
West Coast hip hop duo Zion I, who hail from the Oakland alternative/underground hip hop scene that also birthed Del the Funky Homosapien and others, are in NYC tonight to headline a bill that also includes their collaborator/legendary hip hop producer J. Period, the Stones Throw-signed CX Kidtronik, and another California emcee Mike Baker the Bike Maker.

Biz Markie with Breakbeat Lou & Special Performance By Super Lover Cee & Casanova Rud @ Bowery Electric (FREE)
Hip hop legend Biz Markie and fellow lat-’80s rappers Super Lover Cee and Casanova Rud will be at tonight’s Mobile Mondays party at Bowery Electric. Biz has what you need, and it’s free.

Wyatt Cenac’s Night Train @ Littlefield
Wyatt Cenac’s comedy series Night Train pulls in tonight with guest host Nick Turner and some good guests: Hannibal Buress, Chris Gethard, Jim Tews, Eliza Skinner, Bryan Cook, and Beth Stelling. Tickets are still available.

Doug Benson @ The Gramercy Theatre
Doug loves weed, and he also digs cinema. He’ll be doing the latter — taping his Doug Loves Movies podcast — with surprise guests tonight.

Ricky Gervais @ The TimesCenter
This is a “Times Talk” where the British comedian will be in conversation with NY Times culture reporter Dave Itzkoff about his career on stage, television and film, and his new Netflix series, Derek. Advance tickets are sold out, but they’ll have a few tickets available at the box office one hour before showtime. You can also listen to it live online at 7 PM EDT.
