Ultra Bide, Paint Fumes, White Collar Crim @ Cake Shop
Long-running Japanese punks are back in action with their first new album in over a decade — out now on Alternative Tentacles — and they’re on their first North American tour in 15 years, which already hit NYC once earlier this month, and is back tonight.

Teen Daze, Drop Electric, Camp Counselors @ Glasslands
They may not call it chillwave anymore, but Teen Daze (aka Canadian Matt Halverson) is still dropping the hazy, ethereal electronics on his actually quite nice new album, Glacier, which you can stream below.

Disma, Weed Is Weed, Godstopper, Imperial Triumphant, Yoshiko Ohara @ Acheron
Death metal supergroup Disma headline this show, which also includes black metal psychopaths Imperial Triumphant, Maryland’s Weed Is Weed, Toronto’s underrated Godstopper, and Bloody Panda frontwoman Yoshiko Ohara.

Hercules and Love Affair, The Crystal Ark @ Gramercy Theatre
Organizers of this Halloween-themed party are promising to “transform Gramercy Theatre into a garden of Extra-sensory audiovisual terror and earthly delights. All Hallows Festival will feature multiple floors, spectral light-shows, a theater of the damned, fully stocked bars, a 3 AM costume contest and mystical haunted environments.” Plus disco jams from H&LA and The Crystal Ark.

The Black Dahlia Murder, Skeletonwitch, Fallujah, Noisem @ Knitting Factory
The Black Dahlia Murder are back on the road again, and they’ve got some excellent younger bands supporting them, including party-metallers Skeletonwitch and young death/thrash rippers Noisem.

Sworn Enemy, Dehumanized, Alekhine’s Gun, Leech, Thorn Constellation @ Saint Vitus
’90s-era NY metallic hardcore stalwarts Sworn Enemy headline this show, which also includes Dehumanized, Alekhine’s Gun, Leech, and Thorn Constellation.

JD Samson & MEN, Beverly @ Union Pool
Kathleen Hanna’s band The Julie Ruin just played a sold-out show at MHOW last night, and tonight her former Le Tigre bandmate JD Samson’s dancepunk band MEN play their own sold-out show at Union Pool. Opening is Beverly, who count Frankie Rose as a member.

Death by Audio Annual Yard Sale
Says the DBA folks: “he denizens of Death by Audio have been collecting items all year, it is your turn to take them off our hands. we will have all kinds of stuff, all proceeds go to improvements on the space and everything will be cheapo! come support us! winter is coming.” Noon to 6 PM.

Black Crowes, Blind Boys of Alabama @ Terminal 5
This is the second of four nights at T5 for Black Crowes, and tonight’s notable openers are the legendary Blind Boys of Alabama.
