What's going on Tuesday? (April Fool's Day, Kraftwerk, Disco Doom, Colin Quinn, Spirit Family Reunion & more)

Kraftwerk at MoMA in 2012 (more by Ryan Muir)
Kraftwerk

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Kraftwerk @ United Palace Theater
Electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk bring their 3-D tour to NYC for two shows at one of the prettiest venues in the city.

Disco Doom, Ovlov, Bad History Month, Leapling @ Death by Audio
This is the second of two NYC dates on Switzerland indie rockers Disco Doom’s current tour. They’ll be joined by their EIS labelmates Ovlov and Bad History Month, plus local indie pop band Leapling, making for a pretty good lineup all around.

Spirit Family Reunion, Leland Sundries, Willy Gantrim @ Union Pool
Brooklyn’s Spirit Family Reunion are far from the only band to jump on the old timey folk revival bandwagon, but unlike your Lumineers or your Mumfords, they keep the raw aesthetic of those old bands intact as well. For a band who has headlined Bowery Ballroom, tonight’s Union Pool show should feel very intimate.

‘Comedy Notebook’ w/ Colin Quinn, “TV’s Frank” Conniff, Liam McEneaney, Carla Rhodes, Andy Shernoff @ Housing Works Bookstore Cafe
This series is a chance to check out comedians working out new material. (Plus, The Dictators’ Andy Shernoff. It’s free but this show fills up early, get there before 7 PM.

Janeane Garofalo, Adam Wade, Nisse Greenberg @ Union Hall
Tonight’s show is part of the “Geeking Out” series that finds actors, musicians, comedians, authors and other notables “shameless nerding out on the bands they love, the celebrities they obsess over and the video games that nearly wore their thumbs to stumps.”
