You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight's shows, but here are some highlights...

The Menzingers, Crazy & the Brains, Big Eyes @ Baby's All Right (BrooklynVegan Presents)
The next BrooklynVegan-curated installment of Red Bull Sound Select happens tonight with punk bands The Menzingers and Big Eyes (who both played our RBSS show in NJ three days ago too). This one also has the xylophone-fueled Crazy & the Brains who make it a great triple bill (if we do say so). Admission is $3 with RSVP, $10 without. No advance tickets. Flyer above. Brett Davis hosts. Hope to see you there!

Fury, Unified Right, West Point, High Card, US Dogs @ Acheron
LA's Fury make ripping hardcore indebted to the genre's early days, and they do a ton of justice to their influences. Check 'em out.

Talib Kweli, Immortal Technique @ Highline Ballroom
Two socially conscious New York rappers, Talib Kweli and Immortal Technique, are on tour together and tonight they hit their shared hometown for a Highline Ballroom show. Sold out.

Outside World, Marigolds, New Casino @ Cameo Gallery
Outside World make hooky, anthemic janglepop in the tradition of Tommy Keene, The Barracudas and The dB's. Maybe not a surprise: bassist Hazel Rigby is daughter of dB's drummer Will Rigby.

Mega Bog, Pill, CE Schneider Topical, Big Eater @ Shea Stadium
Seattle artist Erin Birgy makes airy, jangly pop as Mega Bog. She plays tonight with Brooklyn's skronky Pill.

Chris Gethard, Griffin Newman @ Union Hall
While we wait for Chris Gethard's cable TV debut, he's doing with show tonight with pal Griffin Newman who explains tonight as thusly: "Chris and me take turns saying overly personal things into a microphone!"

For all of tonight's shows, and tomorrow's, check out our NYC concert calendar.

For laughs, check out the NYC Comedy calendar too.
