You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight's shows, but here are some highlights...

Calexico, Gaby Moreno @ Bowery Ballroom
Long-running Southwest band Calexico released their eighth album, Edge of the Sun, earlier this year which features guest appearances from Neko Case, Iron & Wine main man Sam Beam, Band of Horses frontman Ben Bridwell, DeVotchka frontman Nick Urata, and more. The band's expansive instrumental power is best heard live, mind you.

Flowers of Evil, OCDPP, Surfbort, Drew Citron (DJ Set) @ Alphaville
It's Retro Punk Side Project Night at Alphaville with Flowers of Evil (members of Crocodiles, A Place To Bury Strangers, SISU, and Young Boys) who lean UK 1977, and OCDPP (members of Vivian Girls, Dum Dum Girls) who lean LA 1980. Should be fun.

Temples, Fever The Ghost @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
UK band Temples put their own stamp on '60s psych-pop as heard on 2014's appealing debut, Sun Structures.

Advaeta, Beth Israel, Sleepies, Second Still @ Shea Stadium
Austin synth-punks Beth Israel have a new cassette EP, titled The Loaner, out via Dull Tools. Both sides are mini-suites that go from ambient to wham-bam slammers and back again. They're fun live.

Mini Mansions, Spires, Space Merchants @ Rough Trade
When he's not playing bass in Queens of the Stone Age, Michael Shuman fronts the band Mini Mansions. Their new album has some pretty all star guests: Arctic Monkeys singer Alex Turner and Beach Boys mastermind Brian Wilson. If you're going to tonight's show, it's also worth showing up for local psych pop band Spires.

Pavo Pavo, Alpenglow, Cassandra Jenkins, My Bubba @ Manhattan Inn
It's the first installment of Manhattan Inn's new free show series, At The Inn, brought to you by the same people who brought you The Hum. Tonight's lineup leans mostly on the lush, delicate side of indie.

Night Train w/ Wyatt Cenac @ Littlefield
All aboard Wyatt Cenac's weekly comedy cavalcade. Tonight's guests include Nate Fernald, Drew Michael, and more!

Ask Me Another w/ Kevin Corrigan @ The Bell House
Another in NPR's "Ask Me Another" live quiz show tapings, tonight features indie film actor, faux talk show host and terrific storyteller, Kevin Corrigan.
