You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight's shows, but here are some highlights...
Weedeater, Kings Destroy, Blackout, Black Black Black @ Saint Vitus
Both Weedeater and Kings Destroy have new albums out this year, and they're currently on the road together. That's a pretty great double bill for fans who like their metal slow, heavy and fit to rip bongs too.
The Body, Of Muscle and Marrow, Hasj @ The Acheron
For another type of metal show that's also slow and heavy, but closer to the avant-garde than '70s riffage, The Body take over Acheron tonight.
Summer Moon, Simon Doom, Aerial East @ Baby's All Right
Having just opened for Father John Misty at SummerStage, Summer Moon -- which features members of The Strokes, Au Revoir Simone and The Like -- play this much smaller show tonight.
Ronnie Spector @ City Winery
The great Ronnie Spector concentrates solely on the catalog of her '60s group, The Ronettes tonight, so expect a hit parade -- and maybe a b-side or two.
Rakim, DJ Tedsmooth @ Marcus Garvey Park (SummerStage)
One of the most influential MC's of all time, Rakim plays this SummerStage show. He may be paid in full, but this show is free with a 7 PM start.
Cake Shop Comedy @ Cake Shop
If you miss Big Terrific and Hannibal Buress' Sunday night show at Knit, and are looking for a new free, weekly comedy show that happens in a rock club and sometimes has big name talent stop by unexpectedly, "Cake Shop Comedy" might do the trick. 8 PM.
