You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

DonMonique, Statik Selektah, DJ Clockwork, TJ Mizell, Dylan the Gypsy @ Output (The Roof)
Brooklyn rapper DonMonique recently released her debut EP, Thirst Trap, which features Danny Brown, Remy Banks and more, and it’s worth a listen. She plays a free show tonight with the great Statik Selektah, who also recently put out a new album. Special guests are promised.

Unearthly Trance, Gnaw, StatiqBloom, Forced @ Saint Vitus
French band Monarch were supposed to be on this bill but appear to have dropped off. The great back-in-action Brooklyn band Unearthly Trance still make it worth seeing.

James Murphy, Eric Duncan @ Output
Man cannot live on dream projects to make the subway sound better alone, and tonight DFA/LCD dude James Murphy spins at this Williamsburg club. It’s a “Vs” event with him battling Eric “Dunks” Duncan.

Pop. 1280, Bambara, Vowws, Lubrication @ Aviv
This looks to be a loud one with industrial punk rock outfit Pop. 1280, crushing trio Bambara and more.

Ne-Hi, Heliotropes, Surf Rock is Dead @ Baby’s All Right
Chicago four-piece Ne-Hi got their start a few years ago, coming up in the city’s basement show scene and quickly gaining a reputation from their wiry, Television-esque style and very spirited live performances.

Christines, The Lemon Twigs @ Fulton Stall Market
South Street Seaport’s multi-use Fulton Stall Market is hosting free shows on Friday. The space is nice, there’s bar and a secluded courtyard…worse ways to spend a couple hours after work on a Friday. Both bands on the bill tonight are pretty good: Christines make Swervedriver-style shoegaze and The Lemon Twigs are more paisley psychedelia.

You Blew It!, Sorority Noise, Microwave @ Shea Stadium
Earlier this year, You Blew It! signed to Jade Tree, a label whose ’90s output is highly influential on You Blew It!’s sound (’90s Polyvinyl too). Tonight’s their first of two shows this weekend with the Weezer-y Sorority Noise.

NOFX, Lagwagon, Swingin’ Utters, Strung Out & more @ Stone Pony
Fat Wreck Chords turns 25 this tour, and this tour celebrates it by bringing some of the label’s heaviest hitters together. Some full albums will be played too: NOFX’s 1992 EP The Longest Line and Lagwagon’s 1994 LP Trashed.

For laughs, check out the NYC Comedy calendar too.
