You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Sleater-Kinney, Charly Bliss @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
As Sleater-Kinney’s five-show NYC run continues, the venues get smaller. Tonight they’re at Music Hall of Williamsburg which is probably the ideal point between size and sound.

Harold Budd, Bradford Ellis, Jane Meru @ The Kitchen
Having worked with everyone from Eno to the Cocteau Twins, ambient icon Harold Budd plays a rare NYC show tonight as part of The Kitchen’s “Synth Nights” series.

Har Mar Superstar, Father Figures, Ageist @ Baby’s All Right
A one-man party machine (who often has a band), Har Mar Superstar is fearless and funny, and has a whole bunch of catchy R&B pop numbers.

Between the Buried and Me, Enslaved, Intronaut, Native Construct @ Irving Plaza
Technical prog-metallers Between the Buried and Me and Intronaut land in NYC tonight, and squeezed right between them is Norwegian legends Enslaved, who released the great In Times this year.

Yoshimio, Chuck Bettis @ The Stone
Boredoms’ Yoshimi has been playing a bunch of collaborative sets over the last week. Catch her tonight drumming as part of avant electronics man Chuck Bettis’ residency at The Stone.

Las Rosas, The Nude Party, Navy Gangs, Acid Dad @ Alphaville
It’s a night of psych-garage pop highlighted by North Carolina’s The Nude Party and headlined by locals Las Rosas.

Cake Shop Comedy @ Cake Shop
If you miss Big Terrific and Hannibal Buress’ Sunday night show at Knit, and are looking for a new free, weekly comedy show that happens in a rock club and sometimes has big name talent stop by unexpectedly, “Cake Shop Comedy” might do the trick. Tonight’s guests feature BV contributor Dave Hill, Josh Gondelman (Last Week Tonight), John Early (Meltdown) and Jacqueline Novak (The Late Late Show).

For all of tonight’s shows, and tomorrow’s, check out our NYC concert calendar.

For laughs, check out the NYC Comedy calendar too.
