You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Sleater-Kinney, Lee Ranaldo @ Market Hotel
This show is doubly exciting as a) it’s the final, and smallest show of Sleater-Kinney’s five-show NYC run; and b) it’s the first official night of the renovated Market Hotel which has been closed for nearly five years.

Nothing Changes w/ YVETTE, Psalm Zero, Hunter Hunt-Hendrix @ Home Sweet Home
Tonight’s edition of weekly goth/noise night Nothing Changes swings heavily toward the noise end of the spectrum with live sets from the great YVETTE, as well as Psalm Zero and Liturgy’s Hunter Hunt-Hendrix.

The Black Dahlia Murder, Goatwhore, Iron Reagan, Entheos @ Gramercy Theatre
Melodic death metal staples The Black Dahlia Murder are on tour in support of this year’s Abysmal, and they’ve got some pretty great openers, including black/death ragers Goatwhore and crossover thrash worshippers Iron Reagan.

Future Punx, Bambara, Heaven’s Gate, WALL @ Palisades
This is a very solid bill of local indie rock, featuring new wave revivalists Future Punx, the very loud Bambara, the hazy rock of Heaven’s Gate and WALL.

Champagne Jerry, Penis, Tami Tamaki @ The Kitchen
Part of The Kitchen’s “Synth Nights” series, tonight’s performance includes sets Sophia Cleary and Samara Davis’ feminist punk band Penis, Swedish electronica artist Tami Tamaki, and headliner Champagne Jerry.

Jerry Lee Lewis @ B.B. King’s
Rock n’ roll founding father Jerry Lee Lewis just turned 80 but Killer is still going strong, having most recently released Rock n’ Roll Time last year.

Pharoahe Monch, Torae, special guest Talib Kweli @ SOB’s
Rap veteran and one half of Organized Konfusion, Pharoahe Monch, is still going strong (he was awesome at the Pete Rock release show earlier this year). Tonight he squeezes in one last headlining show before the end of the year, and making it doubly exciting, Talib Kweli is promising a special guest apperance.
