Philly’s Soul Glo are one of the most powerful young hardcore bands in the punk underground, and tonight they’re making their way to NYC to play a benefit for Punk Island.

This is a killer punk bill all around with Olympia’s Mystic 100s (who used to be called Milk Music), locals Hank Wood and the Hammerheads (who made our recent ‘Best Punk Albums of 2018’ list), San Francisco’s Spiritual Cramp (who are also in town for a Vitus show tomorrow), and more.
Red Baraat, Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio @ Brooklyn Bowl
Bhangra ensemble Red Baraat are among the most lively bands in Brooklyn and any time they play it’s sure to be a party.

Long-running comedy series Whiplash continues tonight with a whole bunch of great comedians, highlighted by Aparna Nancherla and Liza Treyger.
Under the Radar Festival
The Under the Radar Festival continues tonight at venues around the city, including The Illustrious Blacks’ show “Hyperbolic!”, and “Minor Character” which combines a bunch of disparate translations of Uncle Vanya into one performance.
