You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight's shows, but here are some highlights...

Better Oblivion Community Center, Lala Lala, Christian Lee Hutson @ Bowery Ballroom
Better Oblivion Community Center is the collaborative project from one of our favorite newer artists, Phoebe Bridgers, and one of our more lifelong faves, Conor Oberst, so, needless to say, we were very excited when we heard they'd be putting out an album and touring together and that album is very good. Tonight's their first of three sold-out NYC shows, and BOCC have been doing covers relevant to the city they're in on this tour. Who will they cover in NYC?

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony @ Barclays Center
The big news at this year's induction ceremony is that Roxy Music's Bryan Ferry, Phil Manzanera and Andy Mackay will reunite to play tonight (sorry Eno fans who should not be surprised). Inductees Radiohead won't be there either. As to who will, it's a surprise but Stevie Nicks, The Cure, Janet Jackson, Def Leppard, and The Zombies are all being inducted. If you can't make it, there ceremony will be broadcast next month on HBO.

Nils Frahm @ Brooklyn Steel
Fresh off an appearance at Big Ears Festival, composer and electronic artist Nils Frahm settles in for a two-night stay at Brooklyn Steel.

Failure, Swervedriver, Criminal Hygiene @ Warsaw
Earlier this year shoegaze greats Swervedriver released Future Ruins, their best album in two decades. They're on tour and well-matched with another heavy, hazy '90s-era band, Failure. Failure headline tonight (Swervedriver hit the stage at 8:30).

The Soul Rebels w/ Talib Kweli & DMX @ Brooklyn Bowl
NOLA brass band The Soul Rebels are doing two nights at Brooklyn Bowl this weekend, and they've got very special guests joining at both shows. This is night one, and it's got two great long-running local rappers, Talib Kweli and DMX.

Halfnoise, Lip Talk, Liam Benzvi @ Market Hotel
Halfnoise is the psych-pop-leaning side project of Paramore drummer Zac Farro, and if you've seen Paramore recently, there's a good chance you've seen them do a Halfnoise song with him singing. Tonight he plays a much more intimate environment than Paramore usually plays, Market Hotel.

Bilal, NAIMA @ National Sawdust
Bilal hasn't released an album since 2015's great In Another Life (which featured Kendrick Lamar, Big K.R.I.T., and Kimbra), but he's always staying active in one way or another. Tonight he plays the unique Williamsburg space National Sawdust.

Face to Face @ Saint Vitus
Cali punk vets Face to Face are on night two of a three-night run at the intimate (for their standards) Saint Vitus, and they’re playing a different album each night. Tonight they're doing 2000's Reactionary.

Haram, Exit Order, Kaleidoscope, Flower, Penis Boys @ The Windjammer
Haram have made a name for themselves as one of the most distinct bands in the local hardcore scene, and they've got a new record on Toxic State that they're celebrating at this show. Massachusetts band Exit Order are in town to help them celebrate, which makes this show even more appealing.

Methyl Ethel, TEEN @ Elsewhere
4AD artists Methyl Ethel are on tour in support of their third album, and if you're going tonight do get there early to see Brooklyn trio TEEN.

Garcia Peoples @ Nublu 151
New Jersey band Garcia Peoples, who have toured with Kikagaku Moyo, just released their second album, Natural Facts, which mixes sunshine pop with Feelies/Television guitar interplay. They celebrate the album tonight. Ryley Walker was originally supposed to play with the band tonight but he has dropped off and Chris Forsythe will take his place
