What's going on Monday?

The Obsessed

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

The Obsessed, Karma To Burn, The Atomic Bitchwax @ Saint Vitus
Doom metal as we know it wouldn’t exist without Wino, who’s been in several influential bands including Saint Vitus and The Obsessed, the latter of which plays NYC tonight.

Mac DeMarco, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard @ Webster Hall
It’s sure to be a wild night at Webster Hall with Mac DeMarco and Australia’s King Gizzard.

Glenn Branca’s Symphonies @ Masonic Hall
Glenn Branca’s symphonies for guitar orchestras will be performed tonight by an impressive bunch of musicians: Reg Bloor, Haley Fohr, Randy Randall, Mick Barr, Greg Fox, Hunter Hunt-Hendrix, Ben Greenberg, Justin Frye, Fabi Reyna, Arad Evans and John Myers. Part of Red Bull Music Academy.

Red Baraat, Mariachi Flor de Toloache @ Brooklyn Bowl
This is a cool double bill with Brooklyn brass band Red Baraat and mariachi band Mariachi Flor de Toloache, who recently opened for Dan Auerbach’s band The Arcs.

Cage the Elephant, Portugal. The Man, Broncho @ Central Park SummerStage
SummerStage at Central Park kicks off its 2016 season with two nights featuring three anthemic pop acts.

The Foreign Exchange @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
Former Little Brother member Phonte (who sings on the great new Kaytranada album) teams back up with producer Nicolay tonight for a show with their R&B/hip hop duo The Foreign Exchange.

Night Train hosted by Wyatt Cenac @ Littlefield
All aboard Wyatt Cenac’s weekly comedy cavalcade, tonight featuring Beth Stelling, Sam Morril, Alex English, Bill Squire, and more.
