The Hellacopters

What's going on Monday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

The Hellacopters @ Rocks Off Concert Cruises
Swedish hard rockers The Hellacopters were originally active from 1996 to 2008, and then reformed with the original lineup in 2016 and have been going since, still cranking out a fun, over-the-top mix of loud-fast styles, pulling from The Stooges, The Damned, Kiss, Motorhead, AC/DC AC’80s glam-metal and other groups prone to leather and big riffs. This is their first NYC show in 12 years.

Alejandro Escovedo @ City Winery
Alejandro Escovedo, who is no stranger to City Winery, will release new album The Crossing on September 14 via Yep Roc, which is his first album for the label. He made the album in Italy with Italian band Don Antonio and it features guest appearances from The Stooges’ James Williamson, the MC5’s Wayne Kramer, plus Peter Perrett and John Perry from The Only Ones, and Joe Ely.

Vintage Basement @ Under St. Marks Theatre
Twin brothers and sketch duo Max and Nicky Weinbach host this monthly stand up and music show, featuring stand up from Bonnie Mcfarlane (Last Comic Standing), Joe Machi (Last Comic Standing), Nore Davis (Inside Amy Schumer), Dave Merheje (Just For Laughs), and Wendy Steiner.

Butterboy Comedy @ Littlefield
Jo Firestone and Maeve Higgins host this weekly comedy show (Aparna Nancherla is off filming something) featuring New York’s best comedians, including Josh Gondelman (Last Week Tonight), Marcia Belsky (Handmaids Tale: The Musical), Alex English (The Rundown with Robin Thede), Ian Fidanc (Comedy Central Radio), and Jane Harrison (SF Sketchfest).
