Aldous Harding at Park Church Co-Op

What's going on Monday?

Aldous Harding at Park Church Co-Op
Aldous Harding at Park Church Co-Op (more by Amanda Hatfield)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Aldous Harding, Yves Jarvis @ Rough Trade
New Zealand indie folk/art pop artist Aldous Harding is releasing her anticipated new album Designer on 4AD/Flying Nun later this month, but first she plays this sold-out NYC show with support from the buzzed-about Yves Jarvis.

Beastie Boys Story Told By Ad Rock & Mike D @ Kings Theatre
Expect these shows, where Mike D and Ad Rock tell stories about their time in Beastie Boys (with audio-visual accompaniment), to be similar — but different — to the “Beasties Book: Live and Direct” ones they did last year.

Muse, Walk The Moon @ Madison Square Garden
Muse may only be a trio but there is nothing they do that is “small.” Expect pure spectacle as part of the Simulation Theory tour.

Andrew Bird @ National Sawdust
In celebration of his new album My Finest Work Yet, he plays two intimate Brooklyn shows. Expect violins, whistling, loop pedals and dapper outfits.

Ulthar, Locus Mortis, Haagenti @ Saint Vitus
Bay Area death metal crew Ulthar are touring behind their debut album Cosmovore, and along for the ride is their 20 Buck Spin labelmates Scorched, who released Ecliptic Butchery last year.

Jeff Tweedy, James Elkington @ Town Hall
Last year, Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy released his enjoyable (and highly acclaimed) solo album WARM, and he’s now supporting it on a tour that hits NYC’s Town Hall tonight and tomorrow. It’s worth getting there on time for folk singer James Elkington’s set too.

Prateek Kuhad, Renata Zeiguer (early show), Arsun (late show) @ Mercury Lounge
Folky singer/songwriter Prateek Kuhad is currently in the US all the way from New Delhi, and he brings his super powerful pipes to NYC for three shows. These are the last two (both sold out).

Lil Baby, Blueface, City Girls @ Terminal 5
This is an awesome rap bill all around, headlined by the increasingly huge Lil Baby, and also featuring “Thotiana” hitmaker Blueface and the fast-rising City Girls.

Butterboy Comedy @ Littlefield
Maeve Higgins hosts solo tonight and welcomes guests Sasheer Zamata (Snl, Late Show With Stephen Colbert), Karen Chee (Late Night With Seth Meyers), Claudia Cogan (Last Comic Standing), Nato Green (Totally Biased With W. Kamau Bell), Pat Brown (Hbo’s 2 Dope Queens), Kareem Green (Showtime At The Apollo).
