Mott the Hoople '74 at Beacon Theatre
Mott the Hoople '74 at Beacon Theatre earlier this year (more by P Squared)

What's going on Monday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Ian Hunter and The Rant Band @ City Winery
Following a tour earlier this year with the 1974 lineup of Mott The Hoople, singer Ian Hunter is celebrating his 80th birthday with a run of solo City Winery shows, which continues tonight.

Maxband, MSL, Gladshot @ Baby’s All Right
When he’s not drumming for Parquet Courts, Max Savage is fronting his own band, the aptly-named Maxband. As a singer, Max sounds a little like his brother, Andrew Savage, but no one will mistake them for Parquet Courts.

Duff McKagan, Shooter Jennings @ Irving Plaza
Fresh off the release of his newest solo LP Tenderness, Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan stops by Irving Plaza, with support from country vet Shooter Jennings.

Butterboy Comedy @ Littlefield
Jo Firestone, Aparna Nancherla and Maeve Higgins are all hosting tonight’s Butterboy, featuring guests Molly Austin (Comedy Central’s Up Next), Erik Bergstrom (Comedy Central Half Hour), Mohanad Elshieky (New York Comedy Festival), Shazia Mirza (Edinburgh Fringe Festival), and Kendall Farrell (Winner: Vermont’s Funniest).

Macy Gray @ Iridium
Macy Gray has made many stops at NYC jazz club Iridium in the past, and she’ll play two consecutive nights at the venue this week; this is night two.
