Newport Folk Festival 2018 - Saturday
Jenny Lewis at Newport Folk Fest 2018 (more by P Squared)

What's going on Monday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Beach House, Ed Schrader’s Music Beat @ Brooklyn Steel
Dream pop greats Beach House are still riding high off the strength of last year’s highly acclaimed 7, and they’re currently bringing their atmospheric sound to some major festivals and a few club shows in between. Two of their club shows are at Brooklyn Steel this week, this being the second.

Wolfmother @ Irving Plaza
Australian retro rockers Wolfmother only have frontman Andrew Stockdale left from the original lineup, and they haven’t put out anything as undeniable as “Woman” or “Joker & the Thief” in a while, but nevertheless, you can see the current lineup rip through those songs and others tonight.

Death Cab For Cutie, Jenny Lewis @ Starland Ballroom
Death Cab’s Ben Gibbard and Rilo Kiley’s Jenny Lewis go way back to their days together in The Postal Service, and now they’ve joined forces once again for this Death Cab/Jenny Lewis tour. They’re both supporting worthwhile new albums (Thank You for Today and On the Line, respectively), and the tour hits NJ tonight and Forest Hills on Saturday.

David Crosby @ Count Basie Center
The legendary David Crosby has been more prolific in the past few years than he had been in decades, and a lot of his new material has been great. His shows, which blend the new with the classics, have been great too.

OMB Peezy, Olah Only, Munch Ali, ATM, Money Med @ SOB’s
Atlanta rapper OMB Peezy has been on the rise lately, and right now he’s on tour supporting his new mixtape Preacher To The Streets (which features T.I., G-Eazy, Boosie Badazz, Sada Baby, and Lil Durk).

Butterboy Comedy @ Littlefield
Jo, Aparna and Maeve are all in the house tonight and welcome guests Todd Barry, Dulce Sloan (The Daily Show), Matteo Lane (Netflix: The Comedy Lineup), Solomon Georgio (HBOs 2 Dope Queens), Francesca Fiorentini (Lovett Or Leave It), Matty Ryan (MTV’s Acting Out), and Alex Kumin (Gilda’s Laughfest).
