You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight's shows, but here are some highlights...
Bill Callahan, Sunwatchers @ Baby's All Right (two shows)
Indie/lo-fi/slowcore vet Bill Callahan (aka Smog) has been at it since the early ’90s, and most recently released Dream River in 2013 (and then a “dub” version of it a year later called Have Fun with God). This is his third and fourth of six Baby’s All Right shows (two each night).
The Adicts @ Gramercy Theatre
The Adicts are on the road again, bringing theatricality, facepaint and some of the most OG punk faves to Gramercy Theatre tonight.
Colleen Green, Cassie Ramone, Natureboy @ Alphaville
Colleen Green has been in NYC a handful of times recently, and she returns yet again tonight. She's still touring behind last year's lo-fi pop punkster I Want to Grow Up. Good local openers tonight too.
Sting, Peter Gabriel @ Madison Square Garden
Peter Gabriel has been a musical innovator since the mid-’70s and his influence can still be found in indie/alt music today. Sting will hopefully play a lot of Police songs.
Sarah Jarosz, The Brother Brothers @ Bowery Ballroom
Last year, Sarah Jarosz focused on her super-trio I’m With Her (with Sara Watkins and Aiofe O’Donovan), and this year she’s released a new solo album, Undercurrent. If you're into delicate folk, this may be up your alley.
Indigo Girls, Lucy Wainwright Roche @ Central Park SummerStage
Amy Ray and Emily Saliers have been making music as Indigo Girls for over 30 years. Catch them tonight at this free SummerStage show.
Night Train w/ Wyatt Cenac @ Littlefield
All aboard Wyatt Cenac's weekly comedy cavalcade, tonight with guests , Sasheer Zamata, Hari Kondabolu, Quincy Jones, Michelle Wolf, and Maeve Higgins.
