You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Warpaint @ Baby’s All Right
Makers of sinewy grooves and otherworldly harmonies, Warpaint hit NYC tonight for this free, one-off show. Maybe they’ll spill the beans on new album plans (it’s been two years). They’ll be back this fall as part of their North American tour.

Vic Mensa, Joey Purp @ Brooklyn Bowl
Chicago rappers and collaborators Vic Mensa and Joey Purp both have solid new releases out this year, and they’re currently on tour together. Tonight’s their first of two NYC shows.

Ty Dolla $ign, Danny Brown, Machine Gun Kelly, Wiki, Mannie Fresh, AraabMuzik, Fashawn, Kamaiyah, Ezzy, Princess Nokia, J Dilla Live Mixtape with Black Thought & J Period, Nas (host) @ Central Park SummerStage
Mass Appeal hosts a massive show in Central Park tonight with a stacked lineup of rappers. Nas (who founded Mass Appeal Records) is your host for the evening.

Jim Breuer (and the Loud & Rowdy) @ Knitting Factory Brooklyn
Former SNL cast member Jim Breuer is supporting his new rawk album, Songs from the Garage. “I basically want the crowd to have a blast, and I write what I feel that I would love if I was in the crowd. So, going into the record the music had to be killer and have great hooks, that was most important, and I wanted to balance that with something that’s funny.”

Night Train w/ Michelle Buteau @ Littlefield
Michelle Buteau fills in for regular Night Train host Wyatt Cenac and welcomes a very solid bunch of guests: Jo Firestone, Hari Kondabolu, Beth Stelling, Graham Kay and the always entertaining Found Footage Festival guys.

The Mandingo Ambassadors @ Union Pool
Fronted by griot-guitarist Mamady Kouyaté, The Mandingo Ambassodors have been bringing the sound of Guinea to NYC for over ten years. This is a free show.

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu @ Playstation Theater
Japanese fashion model and singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu plays tonight which should be interesting if this video is any indication:
