What's going on Monday?

Yusuf Cat Stevens

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Yusuf (Cat Stevens) @ Beacon Theatre
Cat Stevens hasn’t played NYC since 1976 (!!!) but that will finally change tonight. This tour also celebrates the 50th anniversary of his first single, 1966’s “I Love My Dog.”

Adele @ MSG
Adele’s music brings people of all ages together like few popular singers do right now. For six nights this week, she’ll do just that at Madison Square Garden. This is night 1.

Tim Mislock, Dave Harrington, Peter Silberman, Kaki King @ Trans-Pecos
This bill is pretty amazing all around. Maybe the most anticipated set is Antlers frontman Peter Silberman, who just put out an ambient solo EP and has a proper solo album on the way. There’s also Tim Mislock (Antlers, Hedwig band), Dave Harrington (Darkside), and guitar great Kaki King.

Danny Brown, Maxo Kream, ZelooperZ @ Webster Hall
Weirdo rapper Danny Brown has a new album on the way via Warp, and going by the singles he’s dropped so far, it’s shaping up to be a good one.

David Johansen, Mercury Rev, Martha Wainwright, Nicole Atkins, Lucy Wainwright Roche, Jesse Paris Smith, Xylouris White, Techung @ City Winery
This is a climate change benefit with a whole bunch of great artists offering their time, with more surprise guests to be announced.

Anais Mitchell @ Rockwood Music Hall
Anais Mitchell is perhaps best known as a Justin Vernon collaborator, including on Bon Iver’s recent Fallon performance, but she’s a great artist in her own right as well.

John Hodgman @ The Bell House
John Hodgman brings his popular Judge John Hodgman podcast to Brooklyn for two live tapings — both of which are sold out (there is no justice!).

Night Train w/ Seaton Smith @ Littlefield
Seaton Smith fills in for regular Night Train host Wyatt Cenac and welcomes guests Roy Wood Jr, Charlie Pickering, Emma Willmann, Costaki Economopoulos, and more.

Rev. Vince Anderson & The Love Choir, Jonathan Toubin (DJ) @ Union Pool
Rev. Vince has been preaching the gospel on Monday nights in Williamsburg for almost 10 years, with his band The Love Choir (that usually includes at least one member of TV on the Radio). Jonathan Toubin spins before and after. As always, free.
