You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

GZA, Smoke DZA, Pete Rock, U-God, Young Roddy, Trademark Da Skydiver @ Highline Ballroom
This show is the 15th anniversary of Babygrande Records, and it’s headlined by the legendary GZA. It also features the equally legendary Pete Rock and his new collaborator Smoke DZA (the pair have an upcoming LP together), and more.

Rhett Miller, Dave Hill @ City Winery
This is Rhett Miller’s annual “Holiday Extravaganza” at City Winery, this year featuring funnyman, guitar-shredder and occasional BV contributor Dave Hill, as well as some promised special surprise guests.

Night Train w/ Wyatt Cenac @ Littlefield
All aboard Wyatt Cenac’s weekly comedy cavalcade, tonight with guests Sal Vulcano, Emily Gelati, Will Miles, Andrew Colin, Pedro Gonzalez and more. Surprise guests often make appearances (Jim Gaffigan last week).

William Fitzsimmons, Laura Burhenn @ Le Poisson Rouge
Folk singer William Fitzsimmons returned earlier this year with a live album and now he’s supporting it on tour. Opening is Mynabirds singer Laura Burhenn, who recently put out a new solo single.

Mike Birbiglia @ Union Hall
Mike Birbiglia plays big NYC venues like Town Hall and BAM these days, but still likes to test out new material regularly at these “Working it Out” shows at Union Hall. Sold out.
