What's going on Monday?

Savages
Savages in London earlier this month (more by Rachel Juarez-Carr)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Savages, Angus Tarnawsky @ Irving Plaza
Road-tested at last year’s NYC residency, Savages new album Adore Life, is a step forward for the UK band. Live, they’ve never had any problem holding audiences attention, and reviews from their European tour say they’re better than ever. BrooklynVegan is presenting tonight’s sold-out show.

LCD Soundsystem @ Webster Hall
Almost five years to the day after their “farewell” show at Madison Square Garden, LCD Soundsystem return to the stage, for their second of two warm-up shows ahead of their Coachella performances and 2016 tour. With a new LP in the works, let’s hope folks lucky enough to score tickets will get to hear some of that. If you didn’t get tickets, they’ll be back for Panorama fest (who is presenting these shows).

Faust, Jowe Head @ Monty Hall
German krautrock legends Faust play tonight with Swell Maps / Television Personalities member Jowe Head.

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band @ Madison Square Garden
The Boss is celebrating his classic 1980 double album The River this year by playing the whole thing start to finish. He’s promising other favorites too, and his other recent MSG shows were full of great ones. This show was rescheduled from January, and after this, he plays two Barclays Center shows in April.

Wiki, Antwon @ SOB’s
WIki of the killer up-and-coming NYC rap group Ratking and experimental rapper Antwon have collaborated a bit recently, and they both have great solo material too. Tonight’s show should be a fun one.

Natalie Merchant @ Beacon Theatre
Former 10,000 Maniacs singer Natalie Merchant left that band back in ’93 and soon after put out her first solo album, Tigerlily, in 1995. That album still lives up today, and last year she celebrated its 20th anniversary by releasing a re-recording of it. Now she’s on tour in support of that release, and this is the second of two Beacon Theatre stops.

Metal Church, Hatchet, Lost Legacy @ BB King’s
’80s-era metal legends Metal Church only have two members from that decade remaining, including their second lead singer Mike Howe (the first lead singer, David Wayne, passed away in 2005). Still, they’ll probably bring plenty of classic metal to BB King’s tonight.

Night Train w/ Wyatt Cenac @ Littlefield
All aboard Wyatt Cenac’s weekly comedy cavalcade, tonight featuring sets from Adam Newman, Joe Machi, Molly Austin and more.
