What's going on Monday?

Myrkur at Webster Hall
Myrkur @ Webster Hall, 2016 (more by Greg Cristman)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Myrkur @ Rough Trade
Myrkur’s upcoming album for Relapse blends black metal, dream pop, and Scandinavian folk music in a way where it ends up never really fitting neatly into any of those genres. To see her at Rough Trade tonight, you have to pre-order a copy of the album at the Rough Trade store today. Tonight’s a solo show but she also plays with a full band at Saint Vitus on Thursday.

Glenn Tilbrook (of Squeeze) @ City Winery
Co-songwriter and lead singer for Squeeze, Glenn Tilbrook has a great catalog of songs to pull from and is quite the raconteur as well. Expect lots of songs and stories at this intimate show tonight.

Night Train w/ Wyatt Cenac @ Littlefield
Seth Herzog, who has his own weekly comedy show SWEET, co-hosts Night Train tonight with guests Joyelle Nicole, Erik Bergstrom, Leah Bonnema, Raghav Mehta, Mookie Thompson, and more.

Yonatan Gat @ Rocks Off Concert Cruises
Onetime Monotonix memeber Yonatan Gat brings an in-your-face, improvisational style to his live shows that are never even close to the same way twice. He and his band usually set up on the floor for shows, which should be interesting given the seafaring nature of this show.

Reverend Vince Anderson & The Love Choir @ Union Pool
Rev. Vince has been preaching the gospel on Monday nights in Williamsburg for almost 10 years with his band The Love Choir (that usually includes at least one member of TV on the Radio and often members of The Dap Kings). As always, free.

Joe Mande @ Joe’s Pub
You may know Joe Mande from Parks & Recreation, Modern Family or his very funny Twitter feed. He plays two standup sets at Joe’s Pub tonight.
