Weasel Walter & Lydia Lunch

What's going on Monday (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Say Anything, Tim Kasher, Backwards Dancer @ Irving Plaza
Say Anything are on tour playing some full albums. They did disc one of In Defense of the Genre at Irving last night and they’re doing disc two tonight. One show will have Is A Real Boy in full and the other will have self-titled in full (they’re not saying which one is which). Making the shows extra exciting is direct support from Cursive frontman Tim Kasher.

Lydia Lunch & Weasel Walter: Brutal Measures, Joseph Arthur & The Lonely Astronauts @ City Vineyard
Part of the Voices on the Hudson series, which is limited to 100 seats, Brutal Measures “combines the dynamic spoken word histrionics of Lydia Lunch, one of the genres most controversial performers with the improvisational virtuosity of Weasel Walter to create an intimate, terrifying and even hilarious evening of musical verite.”

Butterboy Comedy @ Littlefield
Jo, Aparna and Maeve welcome funny guests Brett Davis, Jena Friedman, Samantha Ruddy, Tanael Joachim, Comfort Zone featuring Brooke Van Poppelen and Juan Velard, Mike Abrusci, and more.

A Tribute To Geri Allen @ New School Tishman Auditorium
Part of Winter Jazzfest and a celebration of Martin Luther King Day, this tribute concert honors pianist-composer-educator and innovator, Geri Allen, who passed in June 2017. Performers include Angela Davis, Esperanza Spalding, Craig Taborn, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Farah Jasmine Griffin, Ingrid Jensen, Jack DeJohnette, Jaimeo Brown, Jeff Tain Watts, Kassa Overall, Kris Davis, Linda May Han Oh, Maurice Chestnut, Mino Cinelu, Ravi Coltrane, S. Epatha Merkerson, Tia Fuller, Vijay Iyer and more
