Governors Ball 2018 - Saturday
The Gaslight Anthem at GovBall on Saturday (more by P Squared)

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Mura Masa, Jessy Lanza @ Central Park SummerStage
Electronic pop musician Mura Musa collaborates with lots of big names (like A$AP Rocky, Charli XCX, Damon Albarn, Christine & the Queens, Desiigner, and more), and we can’t be sure he’ll bring any of his guests on stage tonight, but if he did, it wouldn’t be the first time. Downtempo pop artist Jessy Lanza also makes this free show an appealing double bill.

Haley Fohr of Circuit des Yeux performing live score to Oscar Wilde’s Salomé) @ National Sawdust
Not only does Haley Fohr release excellent experimental pop as Circuit des Yeux and Jackie Lynn, she also sometimes performs under own name and she’ll do that tonight, when she performs a lice score to Oscar Wilde’s silent film Salomé.

Billboard Hot 100 Fest w/ Future & more @ Jones Beach
While “Billboard Hot 100 Fest” may not sound like the name of a place you’d like to be, Future alone makes the ticket price and the trip to Jones Beach worth it. Plus there’s other cool stuff on the lineup today like DJ Snake, J.I.D, Shoreline Mafia, TOKiMONSTA, Wicca Phase Springs Eternal, and more. And, it’s a chance to see human meme turned rapper Bhad Bhabie.

The Gaslight Anthem, Chuck Ragan, Jared Hart @ Stone Pony
NJ heartland punks The Gaslight Anthem are back from hiatus and they’ve been playing their most-loved album The ’59 Sound in full for its 10th anniversary (the shows have been awesome so far). This is the final night of a three-night run in their home state, and there’s appealing direct support from Hot Water Music’s Chuck Ragan.

Nostrum Grocers, Pink Navel, Malik Abdul-Rahmaan @ Elsewhere Zone One
Indie rappers milo and Elucid teamed up as Nostrum Grocers for a great self-titled debut album this year, and they celebrate it with a release show tonight.

Rapsody, Maimouna Youssef aka Mumu Fresh @ Marcus Garvey Park
Rapsody released one of the finest rap albums of last year with Laila’s Wisdom, which is full of thought-provoking lyricism and rich, soulful production. She plays a free SummerStage show in Marcus Garvey Park tonight.

Dashboard Confessional, All Time Low @ The Rooftop at Pier 17
With their first album in nine years under their belts, emo vets Dashboard Confessional have been touring all year and tonight they play the new Pier 17 Rooftop Concert Series.

Nightmares On Wax, Wolf + Lamb, Soul Clap, Nick Monaco, The Whooligan, Venus X, DJ Moma @ Brooklyn Mirage
Warp records vet Nightmares on Wax (aka producer George Evelyn) headlines this “sunny, sweaty, unpretentious dance party for fans of house, disco and old-school hip-hop.”

Not Dead Yet @ C’mon Everybody
Lorelei Ramirez (Viceland) hosts this consistently great monthly comedy showcase in Bed Stuy. This month includes Larry Owens (TruTV’s Paid Off), poet Tommy Pico, and Jo Firestone.

Phoebe Robinson @ Union Pool
One half of 2 Dope Queens, Phoebe Robinson welcomes a group of unannounced friends for this night of comedy. Two shows actually, early and late.
