Real Estate, Garcia Peoples @ Asbury Lanes
Real Estate are allegedly working on their anticipated follow-up to 2017’s In Mind, and following an appearance at Woodsist Festival yesterday, the band head back to their home state for a headlining show in Asbury Park, NJ. They’ll have some killer support from jammy fellow NJ natives Garcia Peoples.

Video Age, Moon King, J Fernandez @ Baby’s All Right
This is an all-around excellent bill featuirng New Orleans synthpop duo Video Age, Canadian ex-pats Moon King, and Chicago’s underrated J. Fernandez.

Methyl Ethel, Ada Lea @ Bowery Ballroom
Aussie band Methyl Ethel make fun, vibrant indie pop pulling influences from ’80s new wave, and they’ll play Bowery Ballroom tonight behind their third studio LP Triage, which dropped earlier this year.

Pinegrove, Boyscott, Derek Ted @ Brooklyn Steel
Pinegrove recently signed to Rough Trade and put out a new single, and now they’re on tour and hitting the NYC-area for three shows this week. This one’s with dream pop-ish indie folkies Boyscott and singer/songwriter Derek Ted.

J Balvin @ Madison Square Garden
J Balvin is currently one of the biggest names in Latin trap, so it’s no surprise he’ll be able to pack a venue as large as Madison Square Garden. This show is the latest stop on his “Arcoíris Tour,” with openers Lyanno and Eladio Carrion.

Maeve Higgins, Karen Chee, Aparna Nancherla, Cole Escola, Julio Torres @ The Bell House
It’s a killer lineup of young, rising comics for this benefit titled “Forever Friends: Comedy Fundraiser for Migrants at the Southern Border.” Performers include Julio Torres (Los Espookys, My Favorite Shapes), Aparna Nancherla (Corporate) and more.

Chris Gethard @ Union Hall (two shows)
NYC comedian Chris Gethard, of The Chris Gethard Show and Beautiful/Anonymous podcast fame, among others, stops by Brooklyn’s Union Hall for a pair of shows tonight, as part of his current “Half Life Tour.”

Frankie Cosmos, Locate S,1 @ Webster Hall
Fresh off the release of their latest album Close It Quietly, Frankie Cosmos play the final show on their North American tour in NYC, before heading off to Europe next month. Openers Locate S,1 just singed to Captured Tracks.

Arlo Guthrie @ New Jersey Performing Arts Center
Legendary songwriter and activist Arlo Guthrie is still remaining active after several decades, and after a show in Asbury Park last night, he’ll head a few towns over in NJ, as part of his ongoing “Back By Popular Demand” tour.

Wynonna & the Big Noise @ The Paramount
Country artist Wynonna Judd, who initially rose to prominence as a member of The Judds, will bring tons of hits to Long Island with her backing band The Big Noise.

Alex Skolnick Trio @ The Cutting Room
Alex Skolnick is best known as the guitarist of thrash legends Testament, but he also is a jazz solo artist and he’s coming to The Cutting Room for a night of conversation and music in support of his latest album Conundrum. Tonight’s also his birthday.
