CRICKETS

What's going on Sunday?

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

CRICKETS, Christeene, Bonnie Baxter @ Baby’s All Right
Having just released their debut single on Friday, CRICKETS (featuring Le Tigre’s JD Samson and Faith No More’s Roddy Bottum) celebrate tonight. If you dig minimal, danceable electro-postpunk (and the other bands the members are in), you’ll dig this too.

Winter Jazzfest
Sunday Winter Jazzfest options include: Joe Russo’s Hooterall at Brooklyn Bowl; “Sounds of the Dutch Underground” with Tin Men & The Telephone, Tineke Postma Freya, Niels Broos & Jamie Peet at Nublu; Kris Davis’ Diatom Ribbons with Terri Lyne Carrington at The Sultan Room; and From Detroit To The World: Celebrating The Jazz Legacy Of Detroit And Honoring Marcus Belgrave at Le Poisson Rouge.

Reverend Billy & The Church of Stop Shopping: Earth Riot @ Joe’s Pub
Anti-consumerism activist Reverend Billy preaches his music-filled gospel with his annual winter residency at Joe’s Pub.

You can also find quality entertainment on almost any night of the week at: Barbès bar and performance space in Park Slope, LunÀtico in Bed Stuy, Nublu in the East Village, Blue Note jazz club in the West Village, The Stone in multiple locations, Comedy Cellar in the West Village, and Q.E.D. comedy club in Astoria.
