You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Joey Bada$$ 25th birthday party @ Schimanski
Brooklyn rapper Joey Bada$$ celebrates his 25th birthday at Schimanski tonight, with DJ sets from Kitty Cash, Powers Pleasant, DJ Slice, and Versus&co. Will Joey also perform? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Caroline Polachek (in-store) @ Rough Trade
Having just played her new album Pang at Warsaw last night, Caroline Polachek will do a minimal keyboard set and sign copies of Pang at this in-store matinee. Free, 2 PM.

Cracker, Camper Van Beethoven @ Sony Hall
As he does every year, David Lowery is taking his two groups — the folky Camper Van Beethoven and alt-rockin’ Cracker — out for a double header tour.

Lonnie Holley, Nelson Patton @ The Dance
Storied outsider artist Lonnie Holley has had an increasingly strong presence within the indie rock world over the past few years — he’s played shows with Deerhunter, Bill Callahan, Bon Iver, and more, and released an album via Jagjaguwar in 2018. For this show, presented by The Kitchen, Lonnie will be accompanied by trombone and drums duo Nelson Patton.

Virginia Plain, Plates of Cake, Pale Lights @ Union Pool
Pale Lights, which features members of Comet Gain and Ladybug Transistor, play this show that is a record release show for both Virginia Plain and Plates of Cake.

You can also find quality entertainment on almost any night of the week at: Barbès bar and performance space in Park Slope, LunÀtico in Bed Stuy, Nublu in the East Village, Blue Note jazz club in the West Village, The Stone in multiple locations, Comedy Cellar in the West Village, and Q.E.D. comedy club in Astoria.
