Damien Echols “Introduction to High Magick” @ Brooklyn Bowl
Damien Echols of the West Memphis Three just released a book on “High Magick” — the  “spiritual tradition and path to transformation with its own set of energetic practices, ceremonies, rituals and invocations” — and is giving this introductory talk on the subject tonight.

Genesis Breyer P-Orridge (DJ Set) @ The Bowery Electric
The Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV frontman DJs as part of the “Shattered” party tonight from 10 PM – 1 AM. Free with RSVP.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor @ Basilica Hudson
Since reuniting in 2010, post-rock greats Godspeed You! Black Emperor now have as many reunion albums as they had during their initial run as a band (the latest being last year’s Luciferian Towers), and the new albums often rival the classics. They’re still a towering live band too, as you can witness at a few NYC-area shows this week.

‘Wild Style’ 35th anniversary reunion w/ DJ Funk Flex @ East River Park Amphitheater
Wild Style, the highly influential 1983 film that impacted hip hop forever, is once again throwing an anniversary party (their 35th) at a free SummerStage show. The description reads: “The evocative film culminates with an infamous, real-life 1982 concert that took place at the East River Amphitheater, in which the likes of Rammelzee, The Fantastic Five, and Treacherous Three, performed. 35 years later, the stars of the film invite and special guest DJ Funk Flex fans and friends to celebrate with them at that very place.”

Entry, Just, Easy Lover, Maafa @ The Kingsland
LA hardcore band Entry is led by ferocious screamer Sara Gregory and they also share two members with Touche Amore, and if you like TA, you might wanna catch this band too.

Many Rooms, Angelo De Augustine @ Union Pool
Many Rooms (aka Brianna Hunt) and the Asthmatic Kitty-signed Angelo De Augustine are two singer/songwriters who make bare-bones music that’s very quiet but very gripping. See them share a bill tonight.

Seu Jorge @ Blue Note (2 shows)
Brazilian singer and Life Aquatic troubadour Seu Jorge continues his 10-night Blue Note residency.

Springsteen on Broadwaye
The Boss continues his sold-out “Springsteen on Broadway” run at the Walter Kerr Theatre, which has now been extended through December. At these shows, Bruce is giving fans shows “that are as personal and as intimate as possible.”
