Lyricist Lounge presents this show which is headlined by lifer Roc Marciano, who’s been on a roll lately (he released three great full-length albums this year). Direct support comes from Your Old Droog, whose PACKS was one of last year’s best rap albums.
Honduras, Bodega, Gustaf, Gnarcissists @ Rough Trade
Here’s a good lineup of Brooklyn locals, including 2018 breakouts Bodega and the angular Gustaf (who we’ll hopefully have a record from in 2019).
Walter Lure and the Waldos, Lulu Lewis, The Eck’s Men @ Bowery Electric
Walter Lure is a certified punk legend thanks to his days in the classic lineup of Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers. These days, he leads his own band The Waldos who play a hometown show tonight.
Anuel AA @ Prudential Center
Anuel AA has been making a name for himself as one of the biggest crossover artists in Latin trap, and it’s not hard to see why he’s catching on. He’s in Newark for a headlining arena show tonight.
The Art of the Interview: a conversation with Kembra Pfahler, hosted by Steven Blush @ Coney Island Baby
Kembra Pfahler (The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black) is entertaining whether she’s performing or just giving an interview, so needless to say, tonight’s “conversation” should make for some memorable moments. Your host is Steven Blush, author of “hardcore bible” American Hardcore (and other stuff).

It’s time for JD Samson’s monthly PAT Party, featuring “good vibes, good sound, video projection by local video artists and DJ’s that aren’t afraid to go deep.” Holiday edition.

Cabaret fixture and drag legend Murray Hill hosts the annual “A Murray Little Christmas” show tonight with a a great lineup of guests included the unexpurgated Bridget Everett. Early show
Justin Vivian Bond is Refrigerated @ Joe’s Pub
Cabaret legend and one half of iconic duo Kiki & Herb, Justin Vivian Bond presents this holiday show where “the elite and the sandwich meet, Jesus is in the cheeses, and the Goddess’ dressing is on the side. If the power holds the patriarchy will soon be crushed ice! That’s cold!” Late show.
Girl from the North Country @ Newman Theatre
Based on the songs of Bob Dylan, Girl From North Country is set in 1934 in Bob Dylan’s hometown of Duluth, Minnesota, and features 19 songs from throughout Dylan’s discography, including “License to Kill,” “I Want You,” “Like a Rolling Stone,” “Idiot Wind,” and, of course, the title track.
